The initial registration period of a .AG domain name covers the period up to and including the expiration date shown. Domain names are automatically renewed by the automated registry system on the expiration date, but the renewal fees may not have been paid. Therefore, Nic AG allows registrants certain grace periods to settle their outstanding renewal fees before deleting domain names for which renewal fees are not received.
If payment for registration, renewal and other fees are not made during the specified time frame governed by the Grace Periods (Grace Periods), domain names may be put on HOLD, DELETED, RECLAIMED, RESERVED, or TRANSFERRED for non-payment of fees.
For the Registration fees, DELETION of domain names will occur if payment is not received 5 days after the initial registration (After Registration Grace Period).
For Renewal fees, domain names for which fees have not been received will be put on HOLD 45 days after the expiration date.
For renewal fees, domain names for which fees have not been received will be DELETED 45 days after the expiration date.
DELETED domain names are automatically kept in the system for 30 days after the deletion (Redemption Grace Period, or RGP) and then removed completely from the registry database following the Redemption Hold Period (RHP).
DELETED domain names, once removed from the automated registry, are available once more to anyone for re-registration.
